Conservas La Mutrikuarra is located in Mutriku, a fishing village on the Bay of Biscay in the Spanish Basque province of Gipuzkoa. Mutriku has been known for centuries for its Bay of Biscay Anchovies (Anchoa del Cantábrico) and Albacore tuna (Bonito del Norte).

Ten years of experience has made La Mutrikuarra a consolidated firm in the industry. Our presence both here in Spain as well as abroad demonstrates our work capacity and explains why our customers include large chain operations, major supermarkets, wholesalers and distributors.
 

Meeting our customers' needs is important to us, especially when it comes to such vital aspects as delivery dates and controlled temperature transport.

The quality of artisinal techniques, coupled with a healthy investment in modern facilities and machinery, has made it possible for La Mutrikuarra to continue providing its customers daily with the finest fish products available.

Perfection on a daily basis is our ultimate goal. Therefore, we have implemented a very effective self-controlled system known as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point, or HACCP. This system ensures health and hygiene in all of our manufacturing processes and keeps track of all of our manufactured goods. In 2001 our International Quality Management System, having complied with UNE EN ISO 9002:94 standard, was awarded the Certificate of Approval by the acclaimed international quality firm, BVQI .
 
La Mutrikuarra adheres to the Integral System of Packaging Management (SIG, in its Spanish initials). The system is based on a "Green Point" marking scheme, indicating a company's active support in the reuse and recycling of all packaging and waste materials, in compliance with Spanish Law Packaging and Waste Material 11/97.
